The idea of Magnifiscent Candles & Co. was born in Pittsburgh, PA in 2024, when my aunt, Stephanie Smith, encouraged me to step out on crazy faith and start a business. At the time, I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do—I just knew I wanted to create something different, unique, and luxurious while still being affordable.

That August, the vision for candles came to me. After spending two months in Pennsylvania, I returned home to Jackson, Mississippi, determined to bring the idea to life. Jackson is often overlooked, but I wanted this brand to be something we could be proud of—an expression of creativity, elegance, and resilience rooted in our community.

Being in the candle business has had its ups and downs, but in the words of my mother, Patricia Smith,

“It hasn’t always been easy, but it sure has been worth it.”

Those words, along with my faith, continue to guide me on this journey. As Proverbs 16:3 (NIV) reminds us:

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”

This scripture is not just a verse—it is the foundation of Magnifiscent Candles & Co., a declaration that everything created here is built on faith and divine guidance.
